Concept : Family & Consumer Show

Introduction : 2nd MCCD is held in conjuction with ‘World Cocoa Day’. It is a continuous promotion program to develop Cocoa Industry in Malaysia in line with the target of making Malaysia as the ‘King of Chocolate in Asia.”

Objective : Promote and inform the public on cocoa and its end products. Continuous awareness and promotion would increase demand and consumption of cocoa and also to ensure cocoa industry development in Malaysia.

Impact : MCCD will give potential entrepreneurs an opportunity to venture in cocoa products production, as well as supplying raw materials, ingredients, machinery and tourism/hospitality sector. More farmers are also expected to plant cocoa trees to increase local beans production and finally meet the high demand of raw material.

Target Visitors: Public especially population around Kuala Lumpur and also invited guest from various hotels, schools and associations.


Estimated Visitors : 50,000 in three days.

Benefit for visitors : Increase knowledge on cocoa planting, cocoa products processing and various cocoa products, cocoa R&D, information on agriculture entrepreneurs and handmade chocolate entrepreneurs.

Exhibitors : Chocolate and Cocoa Confectionery Manufacturers, Handmade Chocolate Entrepreneurs, suppliers of chocolate ingredients and chocolate making tools, suppliers packaging, suppliers of cocoa seedlings, suppliers of agriculture input, School of Culinary, Chocolate SPA, Entrepreneurs Lenders Bank, etc.

Number of booths : 50 booths(3mx3m each) + activity area + MCB’s pavilion+Koko Bistro

Activities :
a. Pavilion to exhibit cocoa and chocolate, goodness of cocoa, cocoa industry and MCB’s programmes and activities.
b. Cocoa based food and beverages developed by MCB.
c. Cocoa product and confectionery launch/promotion by Exhibitors
d. Cocoa product demontration by MCB and celebrity chef
e. Cocoa games such as eating contest, quizzes, giant hamper etc
f. Chocolate making/decorating competition among schools
g. Chocolate sculpture demontration/competition among hotels
h. Chocolate dip
